The 2025 Baseline

  • What’s in this release

The 2025 Baseline is the current Silvaco software release, and you can download it now. For Victory TCAD, the headline change is Windows: the whole suite runs natively there, not only on Linux. Victory Process speeds up as well, by 56–75% in some areas of simulation.

The EDA, licensing and utility tools ship in the same baseline, each at its own version.

  • How current these versions are

Versions and platforms can change during the year, so check this date before you plan an upgrade.

Silvaco software release questions

The 2025 Baseline. It covers Silvaco’s TCAD, EDA, licensing and utility software, and it’s available now through the support portal. The version table lists all 42 products in it, each with its version number and whether it runs on Linux, Windows or both.

Victory Process 8.57.5.R is the current version, part of the 2025 Baseline. You get it for Linux or Windows, inside the Victory TCAD package with Victory Device, Victory Mesh and eight other tools. This release reworks its solvers and meshing, and parts of a simulation now finish 56–75% faster.

In the version table, click the tool’s name. You land on that tool’s 2025 Baseline release notes page, which lists the PDF with its version and file size. Reaching it takes no sign-in. For an overview of what changed across Victory TCAD, read the 2025 release article in Simulation Standard.

Yes, for most tools. Victory Atomistic, Cello, KLayout, SLAM, Varman, Jivaro, PEX Diff, PEX Link and Viso run on Linux only, and the last four also support SUSE 15 SP6. Viola has no platform listed, so check with your regional Silvaco office. Read the hardware requirements too, before installing.

The published detail covers Victory TCAD. Windows joins Linux as a native platform for the whole suite, and Victory Process solves and meshes faster. Victory Device brings multiphysics thermal and optical-only simulation, Victory RCx models resistivity node by node, and new reference flows cover p-GaN HEMT and advanced CMOS. For EDA tools, each product’s release notes carry the detail.

From the Silvaco support portal, once you’re signed in. The account takes one form, and a company or university email address qualifies. If you’re still evaluating, there’s no published trial build. An application engineer sets up a licensed evaluation instead. Your regional Silvaco office confirms the delivery details.
