Support and Downloads for your Silvaco license

Help for teams running Silvaco tools or still evaluating them, from application engineers who stay on a problem until it's fixed.

Downloads

Your software comes from the support portal

You download Silvaco software from the support portal, license-manager builds included. Registering costs nothing. The portal also holds software requests, foundry-specific PDKs, free demo PDKs, white papers and Simulation Standard back issues.

Still evaluating? The application engineer running your evaluation arranges the download with you, since no trial build is published.

Buying a license is a conversation with your regional Silvaco office.

Your Silvaco license, from lease terms to install

License types

Time-Based Licensing
Leases run 1, 2 or 3 years, on server-based floating licenses only. Product updates and technical support come in the fee.
Victory Omni License
One fixed annual fee opens every Silvaco TCAD framework in 2D or 3D, Victory Process, Victory Device and Victory Mesh among them. You run one tool at a time. Interactive Tools sit outside the license. Maintenance sits inside.
Academic
The EDA Academic Suite carries the licenses needed to learn the essential functions of a commercial EDA design flow. The TCAD Academic Omni License opens Silvaco's TCAD tools on a single license. More than 200 universities teach and research on them.
Licensing in full

The license server

Your license server hands Time-Based licenses out to any workstation or compute server on your local or wide area network. It runs the Silvaco Floating License Manager or FlexLM, your choice.

  • SFLM7.4.16.R
  • FlexLM11.19.2.R

A virtual machine can't act as your license server.

Your server's CodeName is its machine ID: a string beginning 0SSMID, shown at http://[servername]:3162. Note it down now. Every support ticket asks for it.

Installation and supported platforms

The installation guide covers setup and registration on Linux and Windows. Check the hardware requirements before you start.

2025 Baseline, 64-bit throughout

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, 8 and 9
  • CentOS 7
  • Rocky Linux 8 and 9
  • Windows Professional 10 and 11

Jivaro, PEX Diff, PEX Link and Viso don't run on Linux 9. The same four also run on SUSE 15 SP6.

On Linux, install these packages as root first: glibc.i686, libgcc.i686, libstdc++.i686, zlib.i686, xorg-x11-fonts-75dpi.noarch and xorg-x11-fonts-misc.noarch.

Current versions: the 2025 Baseline

The 2025 Baseline is the current release, with new features and quality and interface fixes across the portfolio. Filter by product line or platform, or search by name.

Manuals, and what you can read without logging in

Tool manuals

User manuals and reference guides, filed by tool and by release version, so the manual you open matches the build you run.

Who picks up your question

  1. You hold a Silvaco license

Silvaco's application engineers answer through tickets in the support portal. You need a current maintenance contract to get in.

  2. You're in India, Malaysia, Pakistan or the Middle East

Silvaco sells through distributors in these territories: Cognitive Design Technology (CDT) in India, and IC Microsystems in Malaysia, Pakistan and the Middle East.

  3. You're evaluating

Ask the application engineer running your evaluation. They built it around your case, so they already know the details.

Silvaco support terms, answered

Time-Based Licensing bundles product updates and technical support into the lease, so you don't buy either separately. The Victory Omni License's annual fee includes software maintenance.

Sign in to the support portal and log a ticket naming the product, the version, how severe it is and the steps that reproduce it. You'll need your license server's CodeName, and your maintenance contract has to be current. Add notes or close the ticket yourself whenever you like.

Floating only. One license server, running SFLM or FlexLM, supplies every seat on your network. That server can't be a virtual machine.

No self-serve trial is published. Instead, an application engineer runs a licensed evaluation with you, on your own hardware and device data. The published Silvaco Evaluation License Agreement sets its terms.

Yes, two. The EDA Academic Suite is built for teaching a full EDA design flow. For TCAD teaching and research, the TCAD Academic Omni License covers every Silvaco TCAD tool for a fixed yearly fee. The University Program handles academic requests, not commercial sales.

Silvaco keeps separate pages for archived software releases and for end-of-life products. Older builds keep their manuals in the support portal too.

Yes. Silvaco Design IP includes Mixel's MIPI interface IP: D-PHY, C-PHY, CSI-2 and DSI. It's silicon-proven on 13 nodes at 9 foundries. Your first year of support is included in the IP license. The Design IP team handles it, not the software support portal.
